It is an amazing achievement that a few bankers can take the country to the brink of bankruptcy and then manage to arrange for the blame and the economic hardship to be placed on the poor, the less-abled and anyone who looks or speaks differently.
There is an unwillingness by Westminster to move away from an economy heavily reliant on finance. In an independent Scotland we could implement an industrial policy investing in people and skills rather than speculative finance, and in doing so start to create a stronger more flexible economy made up of a diverse array of industries.
